The Finish

4 Layers. Built to Last.

Paint has one layer. Ours has four. The last two are invisible — they're also why this clock looks the same in year five.

PU Seal Coat 25%

Outermost invisible shield. Protects brass from moisture, oxidation, and UV. This is why the finish stays bright year after year.

PU Seal Coat 15%

Second polyurethane seal, bonded directly to brass. Creates depth in the finish and acts as a secondary rust barrier.

Brass Electroplate5%

The colour you see. Real electroplated brass — not painted, not sprayed. The metallic warmth comes from actual metal deposition.

Nickel Bond Coat10%

Adhesion layer between iron and brass. Nickel bonds to both surfaces, preventing delamination and corrosion.

Solid Iron Frame75%

The foundation. Solid iron — not hollow tubing, not MDF. The weight you feel when you hold it is the iron. It does not flex, warp, or degrade.
